About Girringun Conservation Park
Girringun National Park preserves some of the world's oldest rainforests across 153,800 hectares of northeastern Queensland between Ingham and Townsville. Part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, the park is jointly managed with the Girringun peoples and encompasses six distinct sections including Blencoe Falls, Mount Fox, Princess Hills and Wairuna, with Mount Maclister (1060m) as its highest peak. The park is home to rare wildlife found nowhere else on Earth and offers walking tracks and rainforest exploration opportunities.
