About Genoa Creek Falls

Genoa Creek Falls features a series of cascades totalling approximately 10 metres across multiple small waterfalls of 1-2 metres each, flowing along the Genoa Creek near the town of Genoa in eastern Victoria. Located within Croajingolong National Park approximately 4 kilometres west of Genoa, the falls consist of a moderately-sloping basalt shelf interrupted by these cascading sections. The area is geologically significant, featuring the Genoa River's magnificent red sandstone gorge and ancient tetrapod footprints in Upper Devonian sedimentsβ€”believed to be among the oldest fossil records of land-dwelling vertebrates. The moderate hike to the falls covers approximately 0.5 miles with elevation gain of 114 feet, and is best visited between November and April.
