Stunning views although the walk is relatively moderate as this area is very accessible

Lovely place to walk. VERY blustery the day we were there and certainly made the walk harder. We had a lot of fun with it though. Forgot to take many photos as I was keeping my hands in my pockets! Beautiful scenery and a pleasant walk.

A stunning gritstone edge combining unusual rock formations and wonderful views overlooking green and pleasant countryside. Froggatt Edge is seemingly one of the less well known Peak District edges, and was pleasantly quiet when I visited on an early summer evening. The dramatically weathered gritstone formations provide some fabulous photo opportunities. Those with a particular interest in ancient history can seek out the small stone circle between the edge and the bracken and heather covered uplands to the east. There's paid parking (free for National Trust members) at Haywood within a 10-15 minute walk of the edge, with the possibility of extended walks around the lush woodlands of Longshaw Estate. Paths are well marked and not too challenging.

Absolutely Stunning! Froggatt Edge is a hidden gem in the Peak District. The views are absolutely breathtakingβpanoramic scenery across the valley, dramatic gritstone edges, and beautiful walking paths surrounded by nature. Whether you're out for a peaceful hike, a photo walk, or a rock climbing adventure, this place delivers. It's never too crowded, so it feels like a real escape into nature. The walk along the edge is easy to moderate, with lots of great spots to stop and take in the view (or have a picnic!). Sunset up here is next-level magical. Highly recommended for walkers, climbers, and anyone who loves being outdoors. Will definitely be coming back!

Lovely walk with spectacular views. We parked at Haywood car park and walked from there. Took about 30 minutes each way with our two boys, 3 and 5. There's also an old stone circle on the way, just off the path. The path is a steady incline, an easy walk with a nice wide path. Highly recommend if you don't have heaps of time. You can continue on but we just walked to Froggart, sat for a bit and had a snack while enjoying the view, and turned around to go back the same way.
