Good little carpark to walk up and then down the (new) staircases to access the beach before a 5 minute walk to the rock formations. Colours are amazing and good views in both directions of the coastline.

Wow, what a spectacular place for a day trip in Newhaven. The carpark is clean & toilets are available. Forrest caves from the carpark is approx 2kms round trip with stunning views & sea with shades of blue. Best to visit during low tides. Rock formations & Rock pools make the views & place spectacular. Plenty of photo πΈ opportunity on the beach, at Red Rock and in the caves. Its great fun when big waves hit the red rock and you enjoy the splash of sea water π A great place to explore the coast and enjoy the awesome weather, beach β±οΈ with friends & families π«ππ¬

This is a must visit in my opinion. The waters felt like it has healing properties. Even though the walk and the stairs will test your fitness, but it's all worth it in the end. The little pockets of water and rocks provide safe haven for your little ones to enjoy the water and also protect us from the harsh waves. I could not stop taking pictures of the vista and I collected some shells just for fun. So many families were having a small picnic or enjoying the breeze on the rocks. I am glad to have visited this place before departing from Phillip Island. Next time I will come here with my bathers!

The Beach around forest caves offers wonderful rock pools and cool, naturally formed caves shaped by the sea. Many families with children enjoy playing in the calmer areas, which gives the place a lively, friendly atmosphere. We visited on December 27th, and it was very crowded. Nevertheless, itβs still a solid recommendation, especially if you enjoy exploring coastal features and donβt mind sharing the beach with others.

It's a beautiful place. We went around 5pm in the afternoon and the water near the cave is over knees deep, so we didnt go in as the waves looked strong but the whole area surrounding it quite stunning. The sand is soft but please dont swim here or too close to the crashing waves. There's terrible tragedy where 4 people lost their lives, and they werent even swimming but carried by the strong waves when they took picturea.
