I recommend having a 4wd if you would like to go further up the mountain. However the national park has a car park and you can go on walking trails. This is a must see when you are in tasmania it is extremely serene and beautiful.

Breathtakingly beautiful! We did the Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls tracks, both easy walks, can get a little slippery after the rain. Loads of wildlife and a lovely cafe inside the visitor centre. Make sure you grab a parks pass to ensure you dont get a fine.

A splendid visit to Russell Falls one of Tasmaniaβs most breathtaking sights. The 10β15 minute rainforest walk is very easy and a joy throughout. We continued to Horseshoe Falls, just a little further on and well worth it a proper hidden gem. Taking the scenic route, we included the Tall Trees Walk and made a proper outing of it. The full walk took about 2Β½ hours at a relaxed pace, soaking in the towering trees and peaceful surroundings. The only downside is that you do have to pay for a car park permit itβs not free. All in all, a cracking day out beautiful, calm, and refreshing from start to finish.

What a great way to experience nature on well maintained and easy trails ... Just beautiful. This is an easy 15 minute walk and 100% worth it. Don't forget to buy your day-parks ticket to help maintain everything.

Russell Falls is absolutely breathtaking and one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Tasmania. The walk to the falls is easy and well maintained, making it perfect for all ages. Surrounded by tall trees and lush greenery, the atmosphere feels peaceful and refreshing from the moment you arrive. The waterfall itself is stunning, especially after rain, with water flowing gracefully down the rock face. There are plenty of spots to stop, relax, and enjoy the scenery or take photos. Itβs a perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and experience Tasmaniaβs natural beauty at its finest.
