Lovely safe beach for swimming. Lifeguards present on the weekends (and I assume holidays). The water temperature is great, sometimes the water is crystal clear and gentle and other times you get body-surfing waves. Further along at the Elliott River mouth there is now a much bigger beach if this one is too small. Be careful if you see the orange witches hats marking off an area as that means keep off there has been a turtle laying eggs there.

Had a day trip to Elliott Heads Beach, wonderful way to spend the day. Beautiful rock pools and good facilities cafe, picnic tables or a nice grassed area to enjoy lunch.

Favourite beach in the area, everywhere you look, is a postcard moment. Great facilities, patroled beach, some takeaway options, good parking nearby, and caravan park just of the beach. Suggest if you're in the area April to October go for a quick walk to Dr Mays Island which is a short 1km walk. Closed to public during the other months. Also rock pools are a short walk from the carpark. Just as good in water also.

A stunning beach with very fine sand. Dogs are not allowed on some parts of this beach, and it wasn't too clear regarding other parts. Very clean beach and a few small shallow areas when the tide is out which is great for little ones. A few nesting birds on one side of the beach area too.
