Eli Creek is the largest creek on the eastern beach of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), pouring up to four million litres of clear fresh water into the ocean every hour. The boardwalk follows the creek inland through pandanus and nectar-filled banksia, fringed by lush ferns and tall paperbarks. Swimming or floating down the swiftly flowing creek from the bridge at the boardwalk's far end provides an invigorating experience.
