About Dorrigo National Park

Dorrigo National Park protects part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, the world's most extensive strip of diverse rainforest. The popular Wonga Walk is a 5.8-6.6 kilometre circuit featuring cascading Crystal Shower Falls, 600-year-old trees and colourful fungi. Red Cedar Falls is the largest waterfall in the park, accessible via dedicated walking tracks. Walking routes begin at the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre, with options including the Lyrebird Link Track for birdwatchers and the Rosewood Creek Track through warm-temperate rainforest.

What a lovely spot to walk . You can hear the cars from the walk to Crystal Falls but you could almost forget where u are the scenery is breathtaking . Fitness wise - as someone who walks an hour a day its not to strenuous. Some sections are a little hard uphill but you can always stop just to breathe it all in . We loved looking for all the different birds and fungi . Kids would enjoy this national park .

Visiting the Dorrigo National Park was a bucket list item for me and the highlight of a recent trip. The view from the skywalk is spectacular and the walks through the forests are beautiful. I spent a couple of hours ambling along the bird trail and down to the Crystal Falls and back up to the informative visitor information centre. Definitely worrth a visit.

An amazing world heritage listed free entry national park. Pathways and facilities 5star well maintained and easy access. Beautiful scenery, walks, waterfalls and mountain views. The natural forest is incredible. Car parking plentiful. Even has a little bbq area or a kiosk Cafe aswell as a gift shop.

The walk in the rainforest makes you forget that you are in Australia. You could immerse yourself in the green and frequent bird songs. Many types of plants and many lizards can be seen during your refreshing walk underneath the tree canopy. The trail is nicely laid out without disrupting the natural landscape, and it is well-maintained. Although the elevation of the path changes over the distance, resulting in a few steep climbs, the walk overall is not that difficult.

Crystal shower walk is beautiful. Be prepared to put on some insect repellant for the leeches if it has been a bit wet… If you can get past that the trees and waterfalls will blow your mind!
