About Dip Falls
Located in Mawbanna in Tasmania's northwest, this distinctive two-tiered waterfall cascades 22-34 metres over unique hexagonal basalt columns, creating a stepped appearance. A newly constructed staircase descends beside the upper tier to a lookout facing the lower section, while a second wheelchair-accessible track winds through forest to view the upper falls. The nearby Big Tree offers glimpses into Tasmania's ancient forest ecosystems.

Amazing Falls, went there in winter and with the rain the falls we're pumping. The cold is more than manageable and the crowds we're non-existent.

Definitely worth a visit if not a picnic with family with a resident Platypus and tranquillity. Note there are like a zillion steps down to the waterfall viewing platform, however there are plenty of rest spots for the trip back up. Over the bridge is a viewing platform for people with mobility issues, a track leading to the viewing platform. Toilets and picnic tables available

Very easy access. Two viewing choices. 207 steep stairs to the bottom. Reward for effort is definitely worth it.

Well worth the drive from Stanley to see the waterfall, and especially the trees. This was the closet we got to the west coast and old growth forests so were very thankful this area has been preserved.

Absolutely stunning and grand tiered waterfall with multiple vantage points (two are wheelchair accessible). The journey to the base of the falls is via a well built staircase walkway. Several BBQ picnic shelters and maintained toilets adjoin the main carpark. Definitely a destination one should visit.
