About Davies Creek National Park
Davies Creek National Park, 20km southwest of Cairns on the Atherton Tableland, features magnificent Davies Creek Falls cascading over granite boulders and an impressive Clohesy River fig tree. Upper and Lower Davies Creek camping areas offer walks from 1.1km return Davies Creek Falls circuit to strenuous 12.3km Kahlpahlim Rock circuit. Mountain bikes available on easy-to-intermediate difficulty network. Park preserves the endangered northern bettong; world's largest bird-eating and barking spiders observed here (up to 16cm diameter).
