Able to climb to 1st platform 20m up. Spikes driven into tree are the steps. Gloucester tree is supposed to open in a couple of months. They are wirking on it.

Cool experience. Do not recommend if scared of heights. Can only climb halfway up the tree due to the top bring unsafe and the rods have come out. Lovely view on the platform of the surrounding trees. Seen a beautiful blue wren and some cool fungi too. Worth the drive if travelling g through Pemberton 👌

Nice experience. You may climb the tree to half way. Top of the tree is closed today. Good place for bush trekking with family. Kids friendly. Mainly flat track, normal sport shoe is fine. 1 day parking fee $17

Nice tree to climb, felt very safe. Probably not suitable for small children due to the spacing between the stepping steel pegs. We arrived 9am on Saturday 13/12/25 and had the place to ourselves. Lots of parking, toilets and cooking facilities.

The tree is under renovation for now so u can only climb until the 1st level(20m), it is scary as there is no support below the metal bars to step on so to me it’s not super safe
