$92 per night for a crappy little site that need a tractor to get into, next to the main road, while building works are going on. We paid $48 per night on the coast the last 3 nights, they had a pool and entertainment. This council is out to rip off tourists. Next year when we see family we will just drive further and curse the councilors who think this is ok

We made a last minute booking for a powered site for one night, over the phone. online wasn’t available. Eventually spoke to a person after being on hold for 20minites. All good. We were advised that a confirmation email would be sent and once we had signed it we would receive the gate access code and our site number. We advised we were about 30 minutes away. Arrived at park without an access code or site allocation. This was around 1.15pm. Went to the office but it was closed until 2.15pm. We rang again and 45 minutes later we were still on hold. Eventually I pushed the intercom, which was for emergencies, but at this point I felt it was borderline emergency. A person came out and I explained the issue. They asked how I was and I replied, “not that happy”. The person honestly, couldn’t have cared less. They went into the office, grabbed a map and provided me with the information we required. We eventually received the email at around 3pm. The site was ok, small and difficult to access as it was in a slope, but I just wanted to set up. Went for a shower at 5 pm- no hot water. Seriously, $87 a night!! We are dedicated free or low cost campers (National Parks, HipCamp etc) so I suppose my expectations paying this much were certainly not met. Personally, I won’t stay here again, it was just a stop over to visit a beautiful place where I spent my childhood. ❤️

Loved the caravan park. We were given a very awkward stand with a tree. The site could not be used as it was an obstruction for our draw bar. Anna served us and was extremely rude. She immediately said she will give us a refund with no question on where we from. It was Easter weekend where will you go to. However there was another lady that said that she will get us outside. She helped us through a relocation to another site. We were told by Anna that we were dishonest with our caravan size, which was not the case, and the owners will be banning us from site. Another camper had the same experience with Anna, also offering a refund before anything else. That must be costing the owners of the camp a lot of money if a refund is offered for every weekend. I will speak to the owners of the caravan park after this review as it is truly beautiful, but customer service is just not what it should be.

Very happy with our stay. Dogs allowed in certain parts of camping ground, around half the place. Walking distance and easy access to beach, restaurants, and shops. The sea was really warm. Service station on the opposite side of the road to the camp site sells ice for around $3.50, whereas the camp-site sell ice for $6 a bag. Mc D is across the road, as well as a Service station. Some sites are more shaded than others. We were happy with our tent site, 173. We were half way between two amenity blocks and had shading morning and evening because of where the trees are situated. Saturday evening there was a pizza truck. The pizza was delicious and we even had the option for GF.

Quite pricy for a caravan park (2 adults +one dog for a powered site for 3days is $262 for a shoulder period). No views from campsites. Many rules about how many nights you have to stay ( minimum 3 nights stay for “catholic shoulder” and we have to stay from 9-12/12 but not 10-13/12 because 13/12 become peak rate and it is minimum of 7 days….). And one vehicle per site, so you can’t have a car and a motorhome, even though there is enough space for it (as it is alright for caravans). No visitor vehicles. Some sites against the bush and road are pretty small, about the width of a footpath...mm.. I would say the least recommended site that in my own opinion and to remind myself of would be site 178 … On the good sides: Dog friendly sites available! Walking distance to the beach ( dog on leash allowed, life savers), shops and restaurants. No constant noise of campers come and go. Amenities seem pretty clean. Next to a skate park. 11am check in (10am check out).
