Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National Park is located 215km west of Cairns and features spectacular limestone caverns decorated with stalactites, stalagmites and flowstones formed over 400 million years. Daily ranger-guided cave tours provide access to Donna, Trezkinn and Royal Arch caves, while galleries of Aboriginal rock art showcase the region's cultural heritage. The park preserves heritage-listed Chillagoe smelters from the 1890s gold mining era. This national park operates as a day-visit destination only; camping is not available within the park.
