We may not get anymore than the summer months to enjoy our (Chelsea) bay water and beach. That said, when you're on the beach with no clouds in the sky to interrupt the sun during summer or its shoulder months, why travel up north or overseas to enjoy a beach. Chelsea beach and its proximity to public transport, cafes and shops is as good as any beach in our northern states and/ or overseas. We may be bias given we (now) live permanently over looking the Edithvale/Chelsea beach.

Love this stretch of beach. Dog friendly depending on the time of day and time of year. Bins and toilets at spots. Cute beach huts. Lovely shallow spots for family's.

Great for young kids and whole family. Has long stretch of shallow clean and clear water. Has play ground next to it. Tables and BBQ area which are great for outdoor events. Plenty of parking space nearby.

Our whole family had a wonderful Sunday here, and we'll definitely come back again. The beach is clean, and the water isn't deep, making it perfect for children to play. We also found free parking nearby on Sundays.

White sandy Beach. Great place to chase a Sunset. Not as popular as some of the beaches in Victoria but definitely a place visit. I do not recommend this place to go to when temperature reaches 35 and above since it will be so full, and it’s hard to find parking. 🅿️ . Better go early or come when people are starting to leave again. Parking is easy on a normal day. Parking near the park and beach is paid until 8pm. Parking at the parking lot on top is paid until 5pm Toilets, showers and changing rooms with BBQ grills available at the Park. Ice cream truck beside the car park on the right during summer and not sure during winter. Woolworths is just a 3mins walk from the beach which is so convenient if you may need or forgot to get something once you reach the beach. The water is crystal clear, super clean beach and well taken care of. Will always be coming back here for a swim and golden hour view.
