Car park is 50 metres from lookout. It is a multi level walk up an incline to the actual lookout. Worth the effort if you are able.

Beautiful lookout, suitable for kids, pets & people with disabled at the South end of the parking lot there is a gravel pathway without stairs rough, but good enough to get a wheelchair up. Great place to see whales most days through June/ July. Enjoy going there to clear my head. Just stunning views.

Captain Cook Lookout is a great spot to see the whales migrating with their babies! I have been a total of 3 times and seen whales, dolphins and different birds every time! Parking is right nearby, although the lookout feels extremely secluded. It’s around a 2 minutes walk from the car.

Perfect spot to whales migrating, spent an hour here watching from the lookout as the pod came around the cliffs. Bring binoculars and a camera to take pictures. These photos were taken with my phone on a perfect day, not too crowded either.
