Not far from the Wineglass Bay Lookout, but personally think this is a better lookout. Not a long walk (roughly 1minute from the car park if going straight towards the lighthouse.) Worth to come right after walking on the tracks to Wineglass Bay Lookout.

One of the best places in Tasmania! This place is so underrated and truly deserves more attention. In my opinion, it is 1000 times more amazing than the Wineglass Bay Lookout. The walk is one of the easiest, making it perfect for everyone, and the views are absolutely astonishing all the way around. Every direction you look offers breathtaking scenery. If I am in Coles Bay again, this will definitely be the first place I visit next time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tasmania!

A short and easy walk to the lighthouse with flat, even surfaces and no steps or steep sections. The coastal views are great, and there are several viewpoints with information boards along the way. The track loops around the lighthouse and gives you different angles of the coastline.

Absolutely insane view. Its apart of Tasmania's 60 great short walks for a reason. The water crashing against the rocks hundreds of metres below you is so powerful yet so calming. A must stop if your in the area.

If you are visiting Freycinet National Park but aren’t quite up for the strenuous hike to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, or if you simply want one of the best coastal views in Tasmania with minimal effort, Cape Tourville Lighthouse is an absolute essential. The Experience: The walk is a beautifully maintained, 600m elevated boardwalk that loops around the cliff edge. It’s flat, incredibly easy, and takes about 15–20 minutes, making it perfect for families, elderly visitors, or anyone with limited mobility. The Views: The scenery here is nothing short of breathtaking. You get a stunning, high-altitude perspective of: The Nuggets: These iconic granite rock islets pop out of the turquoise water and are home to thousands of seabirds (and sometimes seals!). Wineglass Bay & Mount Amos: Looking south, you get a unique "side-on" view of the famous white-sand curve of Wineglass Bay and the jagged peaks of the Hazards. The Lighthouse: The lighthouse itself is automated and smaller than some of the more historic towers in Tas, but it’s a striking white landmark against the deep blue of the Tasman Sea. Top Tips for Visitors: Whale Watching: If you are here between May and July or September and December, bring binoculars! This is one of the premier spots on the East Coast to spot migrating Humpback and Southern Right whales. Golden Hour: Try to visit at sunrise or late afternoon. The granite rocks of the Hazards glow a fiery orange/pink that is simply magical. Accessibility: This is one of the few spots in the park that is truly wheelchair and pram-friendly. Parking: The car park is a bit smaller than the main Wineglass Bay one, so it can get snug during peak holiday times, but the turnaround is quick since the walk is short. Verdict: It’s a 10/10 "bang-for-your-buck" destination. You won't find many places in the world where a 15-minute stroll delivers this level of coastal drama. Don't skip it on your way into Coles Bay!
