Dont stay here!!! Our cabin was broken into while we slept. The armed youth criminals stole my handbag and keys from inside the cabin and stole our car. The car was used in multiple robberies and later found burnt out. The caravan park has no cameras and no boomgate, the vehicle was just driven out. What was worse was the police came to our cabin the next day to take a statement and said this isnt the 1st car that has been stolen from the Calypso. The police notified reception when leaving and we heard nothing from them at all. No phone call to check if we were okay or see if we needed anything. Nothing! Absolutely disgraceful. Will NEVER return

Great location, small compact spaces tho but well worth staying. shops just out front entrance, and nice bowling club in walking distance. Fantastic calm beach short distance ( whiting beach) pack bug spray if prone to Midges like myself, but well worth it and totally recommend. Staff are really helpful and friendly too. Cute shower blocks with each individually seperate.

A great spot right on the Clarence river . Right in the heart of town , close to shops and restaurants, and short stroll to Whiting Beach for a calm water swim or a 3 minute walk to surf beach . Great walking /cycling tracks .Lots of great fishing spots.Farmers markets on beachfront every wednesday with fantastic array of local produce. Caravan park is old but clean and a nice swimming pool. Nice restaurants to choose from .Very reasonably priced !! Will be back .

The kitchen "facilities" were very meh for $44/night (unpowered camp site). We would have camped else where had we been properly informed of the BBQ set up. Besides that though the location is great, staff were friendly and polite and the amenities for both genders were clean an seemed well maintained.

A nice park most of the year but staying in the summer holidays was a bad idea with a 20ft caravan. Was very crammed in, we were lucky the site behind us was empty so we could drive through as there was no way we were reversing our van in, there were cars parked on the road, tents and campers were parked up right up to the edge of the road. We took up 1 and a half sites trying to squeeze into one. Beautiful spot though, right on the water, lovely staff! Will stay again but not in the van.
