About Byfield Conservation Park
Byfield Conservation Park is located approximately 70km northeast of Rockhampton, preserving one of the last undeveloped coastal areas in Central Queensland. Outstanding features include massive sand dunes (including one of Australia's largest parabolic dunes), rugged pinnacles, and exceptional coastal scenery. Walking tracks range from easy to difficult, with opportunities for fishing and birdwatching. Remote camping is available for well-prepared, self-sufficient visitors. Four-wheel-drive access is required. The Darumbal people are Traditional Owners who welcome visitors to their country.
