Burton's Well camping area in Bunya Mountains National Park offers a large well-grassed open camping area surrounded by forest with ancient grasstrees dotted throughout. Restricted to tent camping for up to 50 people without separately defined sites, the area features water (treated before drinking), pit toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues and a shower cubicle with firewood provided. The well was dug in 1901-1902 by teamsters Bob and George Burton to water livestock during a drought.
