A spectacular lookout with breathtaking panoramic views of the Tamar Valley and the winding river below. It's an easy stop that's only a short drive from central Launceston, making it well worth adding to your itinerary. There's a small viewing platform with plenty of space to take in the scenery and snap some photos.

Nice views from the look out. What you are seeing is the Tamar river.

Bradys Lookout State Reserve was such a beautiful surprise during our time in the Tamar Valley. The view from the top is absolutely stunning, with wide open scenery across the Tamar River, rolling green hills and vineyards stretching into the distance. It is one of those spots where you just stop for a moment, take a deep breath and really appreciate how peaceful and scenic Tasmania is. The lookout is very easy to access, with good parking and well-maintained facilities. There are picnic tables and electric BBQs, which make it a great place to take a short break on a road trip. It does not require a long visit, but even 20 to 30 minutes here feels worthwhile. It is clean, safe and perfect for photos, especially on a clear day when the colours really stand out. One of the highlights for us was the local berries vendor set up at the site. They sell fresh berries and natural ice creams, and honestly, they were amazing. The fruit was sweet and incredibly fresh, and the ice cream made from the berries tasted so natural and refreshing. It added such a lovely local touch to the experience and made the stop even more memorable. Overall, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and it feels like a genuine Tasmanian experience. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are visiting Launceston or exploring the Tamar Valley wineries. It is a simple stop, but a very special one.

Beautiful lookout, visible from the car if you don't get out. Ample parking and a turn around for caravans and trailers to drive in and out easily.

I chanced upon Bradys Lookout State Reserve while on the way to another destination and was pleasantly surprised. The view from the lookout is truly spectacular, especially in the morning when the fog and mist are still thick, creating a magical and breathtaking scene. It’s an excellent spot for a quick pit stop to take in the stunning scenery and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The lookout provides a perfect vantage point to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Overall, it’s a memorable and worthwhile stop that offers great views and a serene experience.
