The Artesian Bore Baths were one of the highlights of our visit to Lightning Ridge. The facilities are simple but well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. There was plenty of parking available when we visited, and although many people were there, the large pool never felt crowded. The naturally heated water was wonderfully relaxing after a day of exploring the area. We enjoyed sitting in the warm water and chatting with other visitors, all of whom seemed just as happy to be there. There are changing facilities, toilets and showers available, making it easy to use the baths comfortably. Best of all, the baths are free to use. A fantastic community facility and a must-visit when in Lightning Ridge. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return again before leaving town.

So warm and relaxing. We enjoyed thrice daily baths while staying in Lightening Ridge between seeing local sights. We chatted with so many locals and travellers. Sunset and swimming under the stars was the best

I loved walking up the road here for a soak every day when I visited lightning ridge last year. The water was steaming and perfectly up to my shoulders when I stood. Theres steps around to sit on too for those shorter or if you don't want to be fully submerged. Cold showers are available too. Remember to drink water and not stay in too long. Medics had to be called during one of my visits for someone fainting

What a great soaking spot! I love the hot springs which is above 40 celsius degrees, and it was the one. I can't recommend it to everyone, because of the very hot temperature. However it's very good for keeping your health great. Don't forget to drink plenty of water before & after soaking your body into it. Closed from 10am to 12pm daily for cleaning. Thanks for maintaining & sharing this amazing bore bath! 2/2026

What an unusual spot, never shuts, open all night. People coming in for a bath past 1130pm. We stayed behind the building, peaceful night. The facilities are OK when you consider what it is, am open all night bath house. Bloody hot too! Took me a while to get in.
