The Belyando River Rest Area is located at Port Wine on the Capricorn Highway in Central Queensland, providing sheltered picnic facilities with tables and bins for travellers. The rest area underwent recent upgrades worth $295,000 to enhance visitor amenities along this major highway route. Due to the flat terrain and risk of flash flooding during wet season, overnight stays require caution and advance planning.

A beautiful walk with scenic vistas of the rolling Pacific Ocean. The trail is easy with a few hilly sections. There's a small carpark at the walk start. Check out the old rail bridge before the walk where the beach is dog friendly & you can take a dip if its hot.

Short distance from Sawtell. Great lookouts on the hill overlooking the ocean capturing migrating whales in the distance even a few dolphins jumping in their wake. Great pathways to take a coastal walk for the views.
