A really nice, large, and quiet campground. They have a very good and smooth system for late check-in, which was super convenient. The bathrooms were big and very clean, and overall the facilities are good, though the camp kitchen is a bit small. The unpowered sites area is quite large, but since spaces aren't individually assigned, you can end up parked pretty close to other vehicles. Still a very good stay overall!

Very nice camp ground and was a great night with a BBQ and big screen for the State of Origin. We know repaira and upgrades need to be done but to only leave 3 flush able toilets for the men lefr ques of upset campers so maybe could have been done in a quieter period. Also was quite a shambles only having 1 washing machine and dryer again left ques of upset campers

We were pleasantly surprised and grateful for finding a wonderful, gated and safe location within residential area to stay, with clean and stocked amenities and tidy, groomed and well maintained grounds. The large and shaded pool and spa area was a definite plus too. For those who like the sun, don't stress as only part of the pool has shade cloth over it. However for us, it's nice to have respite from the sun every now and then, especially as we were out in it a lot, so we definitely give the thumbs up (high score) for this pool. As for location, its only a small drive to a main shopping centre, or if you want to go into town or to the main beach area in town or go site seeing. The accommodation is affordable and reasonable and a big thanks to management for that too, especially in current economic climate. Staff are welcoming and very helpful. Great place to stop, relax and unwind. Definitely worth the visit!! This is why we give 5/5 stars and suggest you come and visit too.

my dad and i stayed at BIG4 townsville gateway park during the country festival and just needed somewhere close, affordable, and quiet — and the cabin itself definitely ticked those boxes. it was a nice, peaceful spot to come back to after busy days out, and we were able to get a good night’s sleep which was exactly what we were after. overall, it suited our needs really well for the trip. on arrival, we did feel the customer service could’ve been a bit warmer. we understand it can get busy and staff may have been under the pump, but a friendly and welcoming check-in really does go a long way — just more of a suggestion than a complaint. i wouldn’t put less than 5 stars because of this, as the check-in process itself was simple and the room was ready to go as soon as we arrived.

Arrived late at the site and had to call the after-hours. The lady was polite and attended to us speedily and we were soon at our cabin. Cabin was clean, very clean and well suited for our stay purpose. The water runs well, airconditioning was excellent and the linens were sparkling white. The park was virtually noiseless and we enjoyed our stay. We requested for replacement linens which were courteously provided . We did not use the cooking facilities provided in the cabin as we ate out mostly. There was almost nothing to complain of, except that the facility is a bit out of town. Tgat said, having your own transport solves that easily. Was not aware of the free WiFi till the last few hours of our stay but logged into it and the speed was fairly decent. Pricing was fair, given what other properties were charging.
