We stayed in the Safari tent. Big4 Castlemaine is a great place for family's and kids and your doggo too. It's safe to let them explore and have fun. Staff we're friendly and accommodating. The facilities are excellent and well maintained. It's a great opportunity to meet and make new friends.

The check in staff were very kind and helpful. Park location is great as itβs a nice walk to town centre and directly opposite the old Mill, where you have several choices of coffee and food, local artists, produce and a bazaar. Also, the park is located next to the flora/fauna reserve and botanical gardens. Facilities were immaculately clean. Thank you, we will recommend and revisit. John

What an absolute gem of a place! Neat and tidy rooms. Clean and well organised. Close to everything that Castlemaine has to offer. Anna was so inviting and welcoming. When my son had questions about fishing she went the extra effort to call someone to tell us about nearby places. In the digital age the personal touch was so endearing to see. I recommend everyone to stay here whilst visiting Castlemaine!

We stayed at this lovely caravan park. Our caravan site was perfect. Staff were very accomodating. The amenities are absolutely spotless. The park is located next to the beautiful Botanic gardens and across the road you have The Mill with eateries and a pub not far up the road. Perfect location and plenty of various accommodation experiences you can try during your stay in the park.

We booked a reasonably large powered caravan site & paid for an extra 2 people as we were advised that the site was large enough to accommodate our lovely Raclet canvas tent. However on arrival, we were very disappointed with caravan site being topped completely with very sharp crushed quarry rock cutting the soles of our shoes. So we could not lay our ground sheet under our awning as it would have been cut to blazers by the sharp quarry crushed rock. The remaining grassed site large enough for our tent was sloped 15 to 20 degrees, totally unsuitable for tenting. So as compensation, we were offered one of the few remaining muddy campsites at full price which we reluctantly accepted, paying the additional fee. Next morning we learnt that the check out time was strictly 10am & rudely policed even though come 10am there were in access of 25 free campsites. We had planned to dry & repack our tent on our caravan site as we had booked an extra day with that in mind. As part of a family group booking of 20+ sites & cabins only 3 parties were in caravans copping with the quarry rock. All in all we were mainly happy with the location, facilities, kiddies play areas & camp kitchen!! Rock & Roll:- provided one is equipped with a heavy duty awning/annex ground sheet. Google Maps displays the camp ground. All those yellow sites are sharp quarry rock.
