Ben Lomond National Park Campground sits below the summit among lowland gums and mountain pepper bushes, 54km east of Launceston (1hr 10min drive), 218km north of Hobart (3hr 15min). 6 unpowered tent/campervan sites, first come first served. Free camping with toilet, drinking water and lookout. Dogs strictly not allowed; fuel stoves only. Remote bush camping permitted anywhere in park except within 500m of roads. Snow season June-end September; chains required, road may close above 4.5km barrier.
