About Bay Of Fires Conservation Area

Bay of Fires stretches along Tasmania's north-east coast from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point, featuring bright orange lichen-encrusted granite boulders set against turquoise water and white sand beaches. Named by Lonely Planet as one of the world's most beautiful beaches, the area is perfect for long walks, swimming in protected bays, and fishing off rocks. Elevated beachside campsites amongst trees offer views over 13km of coastline, with possibilities of spotting dolphin pods cruising parallel to shore.

Bay of Fires is absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful places to visit in Tasmania. The clear blue water, white sand, and orange rocks make the scenery so special and unique. It feels peaceful, wild, and untouched. Definitely a must-see if you are exploring Tasmania’s east coast.

A spectacular area of several distinct beaches. Brightly coloured (and naturally occurring red lichen covered) boulders make for a dramatic contrast against the green waters. The drive along the many beaches makes for an easy high point in Tasmania.

This area has so many options to stop and take amazing photos, was easy to find a quiet place to stop and just soak up this serene scenery. Definitely worth taking to time go and see if in Tasmania

Bay of Fires has some of the best beaches in Tasmania, with beautiful white sand and bright orange rocks that you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a great place to relax and spend a few days enjoying the views.
