The Gloucester Tops Circuit integrates three major trails into a seven-kilometre loop showcasing woodland, wildflowers and cascading waterfalls.

Watch out: the road from Polblue Mountain to Moonan Flat (the road going inland at the most northern part of the park from the ocean) is closed for vehicles above 2.5 tonnes. This is just ahead from Dingo Gate. This closure is due to a landslide from July 2025. Nowhere in the park or before the park this is mentionend. There is perhaps a way around but we could not find it. Unfortunately the Council is abysmal in sharing other paths online Γ‘nd on the scene. There is no service from Telstra anywhere near the path. We ended up going all the way back towards Newcastle. Shame on you Upper Wester Shire! With regards to the park: we had a fantastic time. On the day of arrival we had rain and mist so we could not see anything. The second day the sun was shining. We saw about 40 kangaroes and wallabies. Even walking up close. We also saw wild horses and a huge hog we think. The Polblue Swamp Area was stunning with sunshine coming through the trees. 5 stars for the park. 1 star for Upper Wester Shire and their lack of communication skills.

The road between Gundy and Gloucester has some light gravel, and the scenery is just amazing. One of the best motorcycle adventure ride

We stayed in a cabin in Salisbury. Hiked blue gum and rocky crossing. The pools at Rocky crossing were divine and refreshing. Saw pademelon, bandicoots, mullet lizard, owl, glider, and baby brown snake. Parrots were everywhere too. We loved exploring this beautiful area!

Unforgettable Adventure: Rocky Crossing, Ellenborough Falls & Gloucester Tops! Our visit to the Barrington Tops region was truly excellent and memorable, especially tackling this incredible lineup of walks with our group! Rocky Crossing: This walk was a beautiful rainforest immersion. The cascades and the lush, dense forest along the Williams River were so peaceful. A perfect spot for a refreshing break by the water. Gloucester Tops Circuit: Absolutely breathtaking! The variety of this circuit is outstanding, taking us through ancient Antarctic Beech forest, past stunning waterfalls (Gloucester Falls!), and offering sublime views from the lookouts. It truly felt like stepping into a fairytale world. Ellenborough Falls: The falls are a magnificent sightβ€”the sheer scale of the 200m single drop is awe-inspiring. Taking the challenging descent (those 641 steps!) to the base was 100% worth it for the view looking up at the thundering water. Every hike was rewarding, the natural scenery was pristine, and sharing the adventure with friends made for an incredibly fun and memorable trip. Highly recommend combining these three spots for the ultimate Barrington Tops experience!

Would definitely go back to this place and do the entire walk to the peak. We only did the blue gum loop track and swam in one of the waterholes which was so refreshing and had it all to ourselves. Great way to spend a Saturday in the peaceful and beautiful nature surrounding.
