About Babinda Falls

Babinda Falls in Wooroonooran National Park near Cairns is a highly challenging 4.7-mile off-track route through dense World Heritage rainforest. Located at the base of Mt Bartle Frere and Mt Bellenden Kerr, the falls flow year-round but the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service strongly discourages visits due to frequent search and rescue incidents. Visitors should wear long sleeves and pants to protect against stinging trees and carry GPS equipment for navigation.
