The park was very nice but the high winds when we visited were unpleasant We saw a few koalas in the trees and visited the Trial Bay Gaol

Great week away staying at Arakoon National Park in the Trial Bay Gaol Camp Ground. Good facilities - 3 x amenities blocks with hot showers & flushing loos π» , Laundry & Large camp kitchen - with fridge, air fryers etc. All locked with code entry doors. Can be a bit windy, but the tent sites were very sheltered. We will go again!

One of our favourite places on the Mid North Coast. We prefer National Parks because the campgrounds are never overcrowded, the bush is left natural and the wildlife is all around you - probably because dogs are not allowed. The beach is the perfect distance for cycling from one end to the other, or simply to go for a stroll, a swim and enjoy all year round.

Love this area as it offers walking tracks, birds & animals, beach for swimming/ enjoying, the rocks for climbing/ sitting on, great view of whales and beautiful, clean water. It is tranquil with many different spots to stop that have plenty of parking, many tables/chairs (couple undercover) BBQ's & places for families to kick a ball. There is the caravan park next to the Trial Bay Gaol, yet day visitors can use this road to park down along the waterfront. The Gaol is interesting and $11.00 entry fee per adult. You have to be mindful of the kangaroos in this area, and there are signs to not feed them. If you love photography, you will always get some fab shots here! This area is my personal fav of SWR and can't capture the beauty, ruggedness, daily changes and peace this place brings to my β€οΈ, in words.

We went late in the evening. It was peaceful and quiet. Sunny yet windy. So it was good to walk and explore around. Amenities nearby was nice. With picnic places and tonnes of parking. Pity the pool was closed And there isn't any electric bbq But good park overall
