Apsley Falls comprise two dramatic drops totalling 123 metres in a deep gorge within Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, 20km east of Walcha. The first cascade plunges 65 metres, while the second drops 58 metres further downstream, set within a landscape of remarkable scenic beauty. Eight lookouts along the Gorge Rim and Oxley trails provide vantage points over the falls, and Aboriginal Dreamtime culture tells of the Rainbow Serpent creating the gorge.
