Altona Beach is one of the beautiful beach in Melbourne where you can enjoy not only beautiful Sunrise but also stunning Sunset too. While the change of seasons you will also get to enjoy the Aura Lights during the month of March & September.

Altona Beach is lovely. Lots of parking along the front. Sand is nice, lots of shells. My recommendation would be… don’t collect the clams and then forget about them in a bucket because they stink.

Such a lovely place to chill out on a hot day and enjoy the cold water, listen to the breeze and feel the sand. Once upon a time on my birthday, I celebrated here with pizza and chips! The beach has indeed had more aesthetic changes but It's still a pleasure to visit.

Beautiful beach for a day out. Plenty of shade in the afternoon in the west side of the beach. Good for cycling or a beach day picnic. It does get crowdy over weekend but we were still able to find parking. Also the parking is free on the road. There are toilets in the nearby parks so be ready to walk slightly if you need to go 😅. Recommend place to visit.
